condolences to his family and friends. I have been on the forum for many years and Murray had only positive things to say , never a bad word. So sad.

I have not seen a formal announcement and have searched Ont. obits looking. As @Nik posted the date, maybe he has more info on this..I’ve been asked if there is any formal announcement so that some of his other forum friends can post their condolences to his family.
Same. I went searching for obits and no luck either. Bit strange they are pretty easy to find online if one was posted.I have not seen a formal announcement and have searched Ont. obits looking. As @Nik posted the date, maybe he has more info on this..
Spence.. I had forgotten all about Murray’s auction donations.
was in the wrong vehicle last year
for my x-YYC to YFC and back cruising
and stopping in to visit as the best-route roads to Murray’s place were all dug up…
and I did not go a selfish direction and ask him to venture out to meet me somewhere along my paved-path as I kinda felt he was perhaps not up to it at the time.
Hind-sight now as I am in the Sierra for this year’s maritime experience, that it will now be a return trip west through the states next week.
Had many virtual interactions with “the Man ..” (personal reference some may relate to) and I do have some sweet treasures of his that he auctioned for CCF fundraising. I appreciate the authentic Dale Earnhardt #3 signature along with 2 other very special ones. More appreciative is knowing what I do know of Murray’s career/life with so many stories that remained to be heard …
Godspeed my friend …

Hey Walleye. Thanks. Murray spoke of you often. Our connection solidified after Brenda and I had the opportunity to spend some time with him and Wendy in 2018. Great people. I too miss him.RIP Murray.. you are a good man, will miss the phone calls, and the periodic meet ups, and the cruises we joined in pre covid.
you put on a strong face and battled as best you could. condolences to Wendy and the family.
Murray was a standup guy, he did for others before he looked after himself.![]()
Yes. We were very lucky to have Murray. CCF was a special place for him and he totally enjoyed the interaction, especially with all the long time members and staff. I spoke with him on the phone mid September and he informed he had a MAID scheduled for October 6. He asked me if he wrote some messages to all his closer friends on the forum if I would forward them on. I said certainly but his passing came early and I never heard from him again. That being said, he was thinking of all of you. RIP my good friend. One thing that is the most upsetting about not being very present on the forum the past few years is always thinking you can catch up with folks later on. I’m very sorry to hear this and hope his family and friend are able to adjust to the loss as best they can during their difficult time. We were so lucky to have him as part of this forum. Thank you so much Murray for your years of keeping the forum a great, friendly, place for people to visit.
