Years ago a buddy of mine had a great idea. If you think that you can't beat the guy in the other lane, make so much smoke that no one will see who did win.

had a lot of fun and made it to the third round. the car ran 8.20 - 8.22 and 8.22 with a misfire !!! had a plug wire off and that i believe fouled that plug. i dialed in at 8.19 and the car stayed consistent !!!

Awesome! That is pretty good to stay within 0.03 seconds of your break out time (or at least I think so). Nice job! The car looks good.

it should do a whole lot better when it's running on all eight !!! hahahaha. new plugs and wires are going on along with some ' heat socks ' for the plug boots.

sat aug 22 kent and i will be heading back to shannonville to run the studebaker in their next nostalgia meet. the car is tuned and sounds good, i hope to pick up the 7/10's i lost last time out. if the dollar ever gets back i'd like to start building the 406 small block. be cool to get into the 6's in the 1/8th mile.

Best of luck Doug. Based on knowing the issues the last time out I cannot see why you cannot shave a little off the best time yet.

A thrill ride for sure.
