Things felt odd around the Christmas holidays. I attributed this to work stress but by January, I decided to get myself checked out by my family physician. I had some discomfort in the "manly" department (yup the "P" word). Did the PSA test and others which I will not bore you with details. The report came back as a high concern. Suffice to say that I am going for a biopsy on April 1 (really not a joke).

Am I scared? I'm scared for my life!

When I met with the Urologist/Specialist and told him of the circumstances in which my only brother succumbed to an aggressive cancer, he replied that my bro' was "being a man" and took too long to see his doctor.

So I say to you my "Vette brothers and sisters" - don't put off your check ups. I hope to have more news to give when I can. Cheers!

Good luck Pierre, keep us updated.
Anyone over 40 should get a regular Prostate test as well,
its very important and time and how long you wait is a real
factor in the final outcome. Medicine is really changing fast
and many things can be stopped or cured if dealt with in a
fast manner.

Just got back from the hospital. The procedure was over an hour with all kinds of scopes in some strange places. Fortunately for me, I was pleasantly stoned on Ativan so it went easier than I had anticipated. Now I am on anti-biotic for a while and hope to get the results in less than two weeks, Let's all think positive :)

I hear you bud... You've got my thumbs up for sure. Can you get more of the Atvian? sounds like something the wife should take so she doesn't mind the "strange places" aspect... :)

Just thought a laugh might help LOL

LMAO, fell and my chair, still laughing and my son asked me what I was reading. Told him one of the guys on the CCF was trying to fix something from the rear.

Had the procedure done today at York Central. First off my doctor is amazing. I'm not going to say that it wasn't uncomfortable - it was terribly uncomfortable but consider the alternatives right? The Ativan had me completely stoned out of my mind and that was probably the best place for my mind to be. He took 12 tissue samples and stuck some cameras in areas that I didn't know you could. Two hours for the procedure then another one and one half hour on an antibiotic IV drip and I was finally home. He said that he hadn't seen anything unusual so that give hope - but hope is never a strategy. In two more weeks we should have the results.

Just reading this Pierre , and I have to say ,I am thinking positive for you . My dad had prostate cancer a few years ago . The doctors were able to catch it early on , and he was operated and has been healthy ever since . I have now gone twice for my exams and am clear so far . It is a worry for sure .
Pierre let me say to you that the power of positive thought is powerful, and that we can over come anything in this life . If you need anything please do not hesitate to call me 416-873-1779
