Good idea Fred .. somewhere that's actually close for me .. :) I sometimes get hung up in traffic and everyone's gone home by the time I actually get there !

Today would have been the day to bring it back I think, but I ended up working later than expected. Plus someone backed into my DD this afternoon and destroyed the bumper :mad:

I'm thinking I'm going to have to trailer it back or get a flat bed. Half thinking of renting a car hauler from U-Haul but unsure if that would work with a vette.

Manny, I'll be by tomorrow afternoon.

Well I did pick up my vette and drove her home this afternoon. A bit of a white knuckle drive but the freezing rain hadn't quite started yet.

Car feels and sounds like a monster. Unfortunately I couldn't exactly give it much gas. I've had a few sports cars back in the day but never anything cammed, and I have to say I LOVE the way it rumbles and slightly shakes the car.

However the car is louder then I had expected. I do love it but am a bit concerned about drawing attention from police. Anyone have experience with this?

The car needs a bit more tuning but I'm overall VERY pleased with how it turned out.

Manny and the crew at Dasilva were a real pleasure to deal with. Did a great job and look forward to the dealing with him in the spring.

Though I have to say this stuff is addicting, now I'm looking at coil-overs, sway bars, brakes…. Where does it end???? Widebody????

Now every time when I walk into Dasilva's I'm like:

Glad you got her home ok Fred -- It does sound great and with some care shouldn't attract too much 'unwanted' attention. The local constabulary are usually quite easy going I've found.

As far as "where this will end?" -- forget it! Once bitten there's no hope and no end. I'm finding that I'm always setting money aside to go visit Manny...:D

The extremes are just to f------ loud for my taste and (most likely my neighbours). Love the way the car sounds but I have to keep peace on the street.

The Extremes with lg headers, h-pipe, mild cam, are just to loud.

Back to the sports I go.

Fred your driving a Corvette, you already have the Police's attention.

A bit on the loud side might be good, as it will keep you off the Loud Pedal unless your out in the sticks..... Might be a good thing for your license.

Congrats on the build. Sounds sweet.
 
Fred I have the same set up on my 2008, Manny installed must be 2 years ago. Is loud for sure but I have never been questioned by neigbours or the police. I do drive easy in my neigbourhood but have been stopped by police for other things never the exhaust, One officer even commented on how nice it sounded as they wrote the speeding ticket
 
Thanks for the update Fred and good to hear people's impressions. If you like the volume, but are just concerned with what the neighbours think. Maybe just ask them. They may be ok with it. If it's too loud for you, then it sounds like the sports would be a good move. Make the car so you are happy with it (and I am sure you are doing this already). Basically I'm just blabbing to say, do what you like and makes you love your car.

It's what my new Corsa system is Fred ... I didn't want too loud either so the sports are the ones I chose. Speaking of which -- it'll be installed this coming Monday.
I expect mine won't be as loud with the Sports as yours which has the headers, H, and cam . Would love to hear it sometime. LMK when she's done and we'll hook up. tho.
