I like Foreigner a lot myself--many good tracks from them.
They really helped define the 70's Rock & Roll scene. While I don't listen to them much these days, I know a lot of their tunes! It seems as though other bands from that era have stood the test of time even better--and I listen to them a little more.
Early Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, & Steve Miller to name a few.
The thing I like the best about rock music from that era are all the great one hit wonder songs that are awesome. Betty Davis Eyes by Kim Carnes still gives me goose bumps whenever I hear that sultry voice. That's a prime example........I think if I had one song to define the 70's rock scene, that would be it. Anyone else want to take a stab at the same question?
