Featured First drive of 2020

Stay home if you have covid.
Stay home if you have just returned from travel.
Stay home unless its necessary to go
out for something.
At a point in time, we need to take care of
“What’s necessary” ..... Then go right back home into the cave.
“What’s necessary” is not defined and unless you have a Corvette, one may not understand.
I am not out there yet but “necessary day” is getting soooooo close.

Preach it. I've gotten a few drives in during the lock down which have vastly improved my mental health. "What's necessary" and "essential" are definitely relative terms. I say just be sensible. COVID isn't air born, you have to have contact or be within the contact range, so you aren't going to get it in your car unless you give people rides or roll down your window right next to people talking "moistly." Yes, there's a chance something might happen that forces you do get out of the car like witness a crash, be involved in a crash, or have a break down, so if that changes your risk assessment I can appreciate that, but for me I'll socially distance accordingly.

Here's hoping everyone east of the west coast gets some nice spring weather soon and some safe opportunities to drive. That first take of gas will probably be cheaper too.

I've managed to burn through my first tank of gas as well, which was the goal once I got it back on the road as of April 17th. Working from home with a couple young children really makes you appreciate hitting the asphalt. My destination has always been A to A (home to home) since getting the car on the road this season. Hoping that can change soon.
