there are some whispers that the factory will be closed for 2 weeks

Good luck finding a new ZL1.....

If I couldn't get a C8 I would seriously consider the Lotus Emira or finding a nice C7. The Lotus is priced about the same. Blasphemy, I know....

Emira will take many years to arrive, their 1 editions have been delayed for over 18 months.

Love the Emira, but yeah 2-3 year wait minimum so for me would be a used LC500. Problem is you keep getting teased as you move closer up the list and then either allocations drop due to winter or plant closes so you just keep hanging on thinking your turn is coming next, and 2 years later you even forget what the car looks like.

I heard they were re-tooling to fill foreign RHD orders of the 2023MY before the 2024 builds start in two months.

RHD cars go down the line mixed in with LHD cars. Saw a bunch of them when I was there doing the tour so I don't think there's anything to retool to build a RHD C8.
