Eray vs Z06 From Owners Perspective

Pretty much as one would expect? Would be a difficult choice for me if I had the extra $$ at the present for either one. Leaning towards the Eray for the ease of putting the power down.
Sort of like driving a performance ev with a real exhaust tone.

Definitely!! Purchased one in September and the AWD keeps me driving it throughout January! Came with All seasons.

A good video for anyone still sitting on the fence about which way to go.
They are both great cars, but for 90% of the drivers I truly believe an E-Ray is the way to go.
Problem is that those 90% of drivers think that they are the other 10% ;)

Sales say Z06 all day every day, and to those that care about resale you know the one that will be highly sought after ( hint: it has a FPC )

Funny how ERAY owners talk about AWD 0-60 times, ZR1 is RWD and gaps it so is the extra weight and complexity really worth it?

Everyone will decide for themselves what's important, I even prefer Stingray over an ERAY especially if GS comes out with wide body

This makes absolutely no sense. “Rather have a stingray than an Eray”. Same as saying “I prefer the quarter pounder at McDs over a steak at The Keg”

Who, in their right mind, would NOT want AWD. I truly believe that 👆 is more of an affordability issue.

Yes, G.M. has done a remarkable job in ensuring demand and sales of the Z06 remain high.
It's a great car too, and well worth any buyer's consideration.

All I'm saying (again) is that for the majority of 'next tier' Corvette owners, it makes a lot of sense to look at the E-Ray.
Going to the track regularly? - Stick with the Z06.
Find that exhilarating, visceral 'noise' of the FPC a must? - Stick with the Z06.

On the reasle value of these two, I guess the answer lies in which 5 year old car would you buy?
The Z06, where the original owner has raced it profusely, or the E-Ray, where it's been driven relatively 'normally'?
I'm not concerned.

In bringing the ZR1 into this discussion, I think we all know what's next on the future list for the Zora.
Yes, I'm sure you can agree that it's inevitable the ZR1 gets loaded up with all-wheel drive, right?
Funny how at that point the extreme pinnacle of the line-up will have developed it's true potential from an E-Ray, and not a Z06.

Enjoy your car.
Send us pictures from the track.
Guys like myself (and the vast majority of other Corvette enthisiasts) won't see it otherwise.

Very well said. Like I mentioned before, it’s either a) an affordability issue or b) Z06 owner frustration that our Erays destroy them on the every day streets, and can be driven all year round.
Do we live in Florida or California!??!! NO! Z06 is put away for 7 months out of 12. Who wants that?!!! Nobody.

Who wants a sportscar you can't track hard, Corvette is already a heavy girl why would I want a porkier one?

Yes, the AWD was a selling point for me.
If by "affordability issue" you are referring to the spread between a Z06 and an E-Ray, it's not that much once you load each of them up.
For me, the decision wasn't governed by the money, but rather the car.

Correct. The car. ERAy for the win.

Who, in their right mind, would want AWD for $50,000.00 more?
The Stingray is the perfect Corvette for me. I don't need a performance car in the snow. If I did, I'd have kept my daily driving Camaro that had snows for the winter. When the roads are snow free I drive the Stingray. My front wheel drive winter car is fine for snowy roads which we get 2 to 8 times a month in the winter.
Ask Jack how it is in Hammer town with snows as his daily driver. He has no issues with his Stingray.

Price is the big issue. If they would have priced it between the SR and Z06, I am sure they will sell more. I don't know if they can do it? It would be an attractive option at $125k.

Yes, paying $50,000.00 for just having AWD would be silly.
No, I don't take my E-Ray out in the snow (I use my Tahoe which seems to be a more logical choice).
