Elections Canada - Please Read post Number 1

Isn't "SIGNAL" the app that Hegseth used to broadcast plans for bombing Iran?
As to Orwell's 1984, its been here since at least the 1970's. They can track all your credit card purchases and "see" where you have been and if it jives with the salary you make., or should I say - declare.
One of the things I will not do is install an insurance company app on my phone. They'll monitor your driving, as advertised on TV.
Used to have a VPN on my phone but had to dump it as it screws up SMS,
Reminds me of the TV series " Person of Interest " . The future is here . And was already here when that first aired . I'm sure most have heard of Edward Snowden.......

Opposed because they think they have better ideas. If they weren't opposed to anything, they'd all cross the floor...
If they had better ideas wouldn't the Libs be exploiting them. Seems someone suggested that the Lobs were "stealing" the Cons ideas.
At any rate the opposition, in theory, is not there to just oppose laws. They are there to study the proposed laws/changes and either recommend changes or oppose them if necessary. It is not a given that anything proposed by the ruling party is useless. It might be, but not a given.
I used to tell my students that if they didn't like something, don't just tell me it is no good. Tell me why and then I can evaluate that and make changes. Suggest improvements. You have a better way? Let me know and it just might get incorporated in to the program. You can learn just as much from other people's experiences rather than having to invent the wheel again.

As the old adage states " those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it " Although often attributed to Churchill the original was said by George Santayana in 1905 . Now we mustn't forget the Canadian Senate who supposedly provides " sober second thought " . Although they have on occasion in the passed rejected proposed legislation they haven't rejected even one since 1996 . Now there is food for thought. This should be interesting, lol.

Hey. It was you who listed a myriad of past Conservative opposition items. Poilievre's platform, long before Carney entered the scene at all had multiple items that Carney quickly adopted.....Axe the Tax, Defense Spending Increase, Immigration Review, Resource Development, Trade, Reasonable Self Defense Code Changes. They were all good items and his adopting them is commended but they were all in Poilievre's playbook before they were in Carneys. So yes. Carney did exploit the "better ideas". We could only wish that Carney would have added Poilievre's position on Jail not Bail to his list. Maybe next election he will add that to his platform as well.

Lol. Don't forget " axe the tax " .......

That was the first item in my list.... Blame it on your rush to get back on the road home.... ;)
Haven't had my first coffee yet.... it turns out Carney doesn't seem to be as "Green " as he pretended or was made out to be except when it benefited his bank account. So far the industrial carbon tax has been greatly reduced, clean fuel regulations rolled way back , only EV's by 2035 no longer required , pipelines now possible, and he squeezed out that psychologically deranged climate alarmist Steven Guilbeault . I would call that a good start . I particularly liked when he said the other day that either BC gets on board or he will take all of this newly printed taxpayer money for major projects to elsewhere in the country. Hmmm , there may be hope yet . :) I believe there was another political party in Canada that suggested these things was there not ?

Carney leans far 'right' more than any Liberal leader Canada has had for a long time...
