Elections Canada - Please Read post Number 1

If the people didn't know what was coming after the first two Liberal terms, they should have pulled their heads out of their a$$es last election and looked around.
Or they didn't like the alternative. He was a PP clone.
They chose the lesser of two evils shall we say.

Just saying but have you ever heard of Robert Oppenheimer ? And depending on who wins the next election the results could be just as catastrophic. If you don’t believe me just ask the PR department of any party or candidate that is running, LOL . ;)

True that. I meant to ask if you have your power back on . I see a number still don’t.
I do. Even though the power company says it won't be back up until 10 tonight! LOL. It came back last night around 7:30

If you work in the steel industry , like I did for 33 years, Carney said the tariffs on steel is not a problem because nobody uses steel anymore!!! Carney is out of touch with the people and Canada. He , like trudeau admires Chinas type of leadership, and you know how trudeau treated Canadians for almost 10 years, like a dictator.

Agree. Carney will be a painful hit to the working class tax paying wallet. Authoritarian dictator waiting to pounce.

Show me the quote please.
You and @tyho throw out the term dictator way too easily. As leader of the ruling party they decide the path that the government takes as they outlined in their campaign promises or what the party feels is the right course of action given circumstance that arise while in office. Calling that dictatorship is completely wrong.
And dictators are not elected.

People, go outside and play...
I can't my basement flooded with all the rain and I'm far too busy ignoring it to go outside. Besides I'd just have to pick up[ all the fallen trees if I went outside!

Just read up on the details on Carney's promise to build 500,000 new home annually? Appears he's earmarked $35 billion to finance loans to builders and will give them publicly owned lands to boot. Just wondering who he expects can afford to buy these homes, even with not having to pay the GST. Don't know about the East but out here, the people that can afford homes already have them and the people who can't afford them don't. So a glut of new homes available benefits who? For argument sake, lets say at $500,000 per home (and that's likely not even close), that's $250 billion minimum worth of new homes available yearly. We have lots of houses for sale here already and few, if not any are affordable for lower income earners. This doesn't help the needy other than possibly getting them into a debt that they are not able to repay. Earning $15.00 an hour doesn't leave you much to pay a mortgage let alone put food on the table, and any banker with a brain isn't going to loan those people half a million dollars anyway. So that leaves the Liberals backing loans, that will never get repaid, for buyers as well. They may as well take the $250 billion and build low cost row housing and give them away for free. And there goes any other expenditures that would actually help the Canadian economy. There goes upgraded defense investment. Pipelines to the east, and much needed infrastructure improvements. Oh well, what's borrowing another few trillion going to hurt the national debt. Not like we can ever pay it back anyway. Thanks to the Liberals, we can't even keep up with the $880.00 per second that it's currently increasing. How many years before Canada's world credit rating drops us to a third word status. Not many. I guess we could ask for the $7 billion in foreign aid back that the Liberals handed out yearly. We need a change and I hope people realize that. If nothing else, let someone else ruin the country. They at least deserve a chance. JMO

It's far different around Toronto. There are not enough homes for buyers here. Though price does disclude many.

Trudeau imposed taxes on Canadians, that are renewed every April 1st, without passing through a vote. He hired that astronaut women as G.G., even though everybody told him not too because she was, for a better word, a B. He did his groceries on our dime even though he makes 400ks a year. He travelled and went to the most expensive places ,on our dime. Dictators do that. He made April 1st pay increase day 6 times since 2020 and did it without voting. I could go on but are you sure you follow the news/politics!? :p ;) As for the quotes video I have it on my facebook and I tried to downloaded it but now cannot find it.

Actually dictators can be elected. It's just that those who elected them didn't know they were dictators until it was too late.

What vote? He doesn't need a vote to do things he was elected to do! And who is everyone that told him not to hire a woman?
Don't throw out junk because you think it's so. Show me these things!

Only if they have a strong gang of thugs behind them. But then it's through force or threat of force. Like Putin.

Not throwing things out, it is in the news , when he did it. Are you sure you are not related to Rip Van Winkle?:smile1: A lot of it I get from Canadian Taxpayers federation. They keep an eye on government wastes etc.
