Delivery times after build (3800)?

Very nice! In hindsight, I was thinking I should have spec'd some extra carbon in the interior. Did you PPF the exterior?
I just can't wait to start driving. I wrapped the car complete with PPF and had Clearplex installed for the windshield. I'm ready for spring!!

Nice! I can't wait either. After the break-in, I'll be heading out to Alberta for some track days! I did a fair bit of autocross and track days with my previous Vette's so I'm really exited to see how this one will perform.

Some talk about 1500 miles break in now? Not sure what I'll do? Dealership suggest I take car further past the factory set limits before I wake the car up? So much click bait online about motors letting go which I don't believe.

I have downloaded the manual off the GM website. It explains a very specific set of driving parameters to follow for the first 800km (500mi), along with the engine torque and rpm limitations. After that, and prior to 2,414km (1,500mi) it only states "Do not participate in track events, sport driving schools, or similar activities." I will definitely be following their recommendations. If the rumors are true about blown engines, I'm guessing there may have a been a few impatient guys not following the guidelines and likely revving cold engines to show off for friends. I've read that that break-in procedure is critical with respect to the thin layer of babbit coating the main and con rod bearings.

It sounds like you'll both follow the GM break-in guidelines, at a minimum. Good practice, if you want GM to honour its warranty. No doubt the Z06 engine would be ++ money to replace.

Having said that, PLEASE CONSIDER taking this "conversation" private. Reading this exchange tortures those like me who can only dream of a Z06, many years down the road (sigh...lol). :Cryin: :Cryin: :Cryin:

PS: I just emailed my Calgary dealer today since there's mention of a new wave of Z06 allocations in the States and mention on these Forums of Eastern Canada getting some. Fingers crossed that I'll have once again moved up a spot on the list.

Do share how you received allocation for your Z06? Waiting a long time? Large list of people waiting?

I placed a deposit at my local dealer over 3 years ago. I was number one on the list. I don't know how many on the list, but they will likely only get one Z06 this year.
