According to John on MidEngine, he is hearing it is indeed a software issue. That could mean that cars could be shipped but not delivered to customers. Given the time of year and whatever the capacity of the BG parking lots are at, they may be in no rush to ship cars that can stay for the update "Just in case" something happens during the update..

Thanks for this info, Murray20c8!🙏👍

I don't think anyone really has confirmation of what's going on. Cullen seems to think it may be hardware.

My dealer also reported a software update is required and is expected to be completed sometime in April. So I’m hoping for an early May delivery.

I don't know if you frequent the midengine forum, but John has "birdies" deep into BG. If he says he is hearing it's a software issue, then it's most likely a software issue.
No offence to Cullen, but they can only talk to area reps. And area reps can only say what they're told they can say.

As the old adage goes, if you haven’t heard a good rumour by lunch time…..start one. GM had a very similar recall in 2022 , headlight related that affected 750,000 units. You would think they would have learned something from that. I think personally that until there is an official announcement from GM everything else is pure speculation. JMTPW

You have no idea. John HAS friends within GM He is a large contributor to the museum etc.
You don't want to believe, fine, but don't doubt John's or Corvette Bloggers for that matter, ties to the Corvette and it's engineers etc.

Easy. I was only referring to the number of speculative posts regarding this, not the possibly accurate inside information. Didn’t mean to confuse the two.

Then don't quote me! lol
I try very hard to make sure what I report is not rumour and only from reputable sources.
Anyway, all good.

Would be funny if GM make an announcement on Apr 1. I read in this forum that the DRL is programmed in the PCM, and it's a pain to convert US specs to CAD when importing; maybe that's why it's taking them sometime to figure out a fix.
