Dasliva Motorsports MCM Hood Painted

Just finished painting this MCM carbon hood for Russ .

Color match looks perfect and the hood looks very nice on his Z

That looks very nice. Can you tell us a bit about the paint. How many coats of color and clear........is it a two part paint ect. Just an interest of mine as I used to paint and I know things have changed a lot.

It's a water base with 2 coats base / hand wet sand / 2 coats clear hand wet sand and then buff . Lots of love in between :D
 
Manny how are you finding the durability of the latest clear coat products after wet sanding? Used to be that a mosquito could crack it, so it seemed. That's why I started leaving the orange peel on my repainted rides.

No issues , but we only use the House Of Kolors clear , and its $500 a liter :eek:
 
House of Kolor has an awesome rep--seems like all the guys on TV always paint using their stuff. "SHINY" was the first word I thought of when I looked at it--great work!
