Dasilva Motorsports C3 Winter Builds

The car's been on the hoist since Sept 12th!? Holy crap! Did you get it appraised? Does it have insurance? What if it falls off the lift or the building catches fire? Corvette Central has full wheel bearing kits ready to go! I'm sure Manny does as well.

Anyway, cool story about going to get the vette! Glad you were able to get it (I should have clued in because this all started with wheel bearings) Your bro-in-law sounds like a stand up guy! Let us know of the progress.

 me too !!! i have a pair sitting in my family room for a year now. when i went to do it i found that some billy-bob had rounded off the manifold bolts :swear: so i will have to wait until i pull the motor. if that stuff bothered me i probably wouldn't have an old car, it's all part of the game eh manny !!! :D

And it begins like this :D

What are the plans for this one Manny? Not many of those '74 L82's were produced. Less than 7000 I believe.

that one is mine case lots of stuff going into it most looking forward to the new carpets and headers, seats and of course the rear bumper no more red tape holding it together lol it was hard to find the l82 specially one that was manual, still kills me how most people bought older corvettes with a auto trans.

manny dont forget to replace the reverse light bulbs i noticed they were gone just before i took it to you, all new lights kit inside storage area.

Got it , FYI ...the fiberglass split rear bumper we will be installing will have all new mounting hardware as the as the old stuff was pretty much rotted . I also have for you a complete new set of CORVETTE rear letters :D

We got talk about the seats Carlos . My upholstery guy is afraid that due to the age and dryness of the seams on the old seat covers , they will split with the new foam as they are much thicker and plush . You really need to look at a set of replacement seat covers to go with the new foam .

Tell him to try hard not to rip them lol I really didn't want to spend the money on the new seat covers as I still have to get the extra stuff done like p brake and rear bearing I was planing on seat covers and interior next year. If it rips a bit oh well

He's careful , will do our best , some duct tape can work and its silver

will there be an x-pipe installed ? if so, can we see an exhaust system photo ? i have a magna flow x-pipe sitting in my parts stockpile and would be interested in seeing where it's placed. these are long tube headers, right ? :D

I wondered if that was your car when I saw it there last November. Nice. That ones a keeper! My cousin has a '74 L48 coupe in dark gray with the same silver interior. All original paint and he's the original owner.

Moving right along on the 74

Painting is almost done :
