2100kms on the 2016 Z06 and I have to say that , this car is everything I hoped it would be and more .
The car is very nimble and response and the A8 automatic is a blast .

Now we all know that I can't leave anything alone , and that every car should be modded :)

So it begins ............

First up I could not live with the 4x4 stance .

So on the rack it went and Dave got it lowered on the stock bolts 3/4" and a new alignment .

Now this is a much better stance :

Now the stance is much more visually appealing , but it does have a small drawback ...because we lowered it on the stock bolts , the shock travel has been reduced making the ride a little more harsh . Nothing that I can't live with , but I am concerned that over time the Magnetic Ride system will sustain some damage .
SO the next step is the install a set of LG Motorsports 1 Lower spindles - Look for this write up in a few weeks.
Here is a sneak peek :

Next up was some tint and VentureShield Clear Film protection . The entire front end and hood have been done as well as the carbon splitter . I also changed out the red calipers for the much better looking black ones .

Next up , I noticed that the OEM pads created a ton of brake dust , that was over the wheels .
So I had of the Carbotech street pads installed . Oh what a huge difference overall in brake dust but also much quieter and braking did feel more firm . A set of Stainless Steel brake lines will be making their way on soon as well .

First up with power end of the mods was to do a baseline . The car came in right where I thought it should be .

531.43 RWHP & 580.61 RWTQ

I reached out to Jim Hall at Halltech and he provide the shop with one of his New Stinger RZ Cold Air Intakes .
Install was very easy , and we did do a few things different just to tidy up the engine bay .
Got say we were blown away by the results .

51 RWHP & 23 RWTQ gain from just a bolt is amazing :

With tuning we believe that these number will go up .

So there you have it 3 weeks in and we have some great progress .

Next up will be the Akrapovic Titanium EVO Exhaust System

After that a set of headers & highflow cats will added to the full Akrapovic system with Titanium xpipe .
Our in house ability to weld Titanium sure comes in handy .

Hope you enjoyed the read and pictures ........much more to come

Manny, I noticed a difference in responsiveness once you installed the Halltech carbon cai, more so than the ARH mid length headers. Is the cai system new RZ?? And a question. I'm thinking of changing the stock x-pipe to either a Borla non cat or if possible and affordable, the titantium catless x-pipe. Would it fit with the ARH mid length headers and a cat back B & B bullet exhaust that is on the car now? If not, are you able to make a catless x-pipe that would fit? 2015 m7 z51. Something lighter and better flowing that won't make the car sound like a freight train.

The RZ is the model for the C7 Z06 .

We can certaily make you an x-pipe to work with your current setup .

Manny you must have shorter ground hogs in your area than we do! :D

With the installation of the LG spindles to you revert back to the original settings for the bolts? Do the spindles lower the car while still retaining full suspension movement?

I thought that Jim Hall of Halltech had retired so good to know he is still busy in the shop.

Car looks great but all knew that would happen. Nice job.

Jim wants to retire , but keeps making great products , making for a very busy life .

Yes, with the LG spindles we will be adjusting the ride height back to factory as the LG spindles will lower the car ti a more proper stance without any ride degradation.

Looking forward to seeing where this goes........... :Hurray:

Seeing dyno numbers really gives us something real to compare with. From my experience, seat of the pants numbers can be very deceiving. I love projects like this. In the old days the car magazine articles were written by guys who actually worked on cars and, like Manny, they had a pretty good idea as to what they were talking about. Today we have magazines written by people who know how to write stories but have little or no actual experience and the stories show it. Manny's writeups have substance. Keep them coming.

I love the idea of the lowering spindles so you keep your suspension the same. Also, I would have to say that my mind was absolutely blown away with the results of the RZ CIA. That is insane!!!!
Looking forward to the progress! N20 may need to bring more popcorn! :D

Great stuff Manny . Let me know as soon as my Halltech Carbon unit shows up , along with the headers , 600 rwhp , here we come :)

Here is more tangible proof of the Halltech combined with the expert tuning of [email protected]
This is Chris's 2015 Z07

Baseline Dyno - before Halltech & Dave's tune

After Halltech & Dave Tune ---Sorry for the abrupt end , my dear wife called at that very moment and killed the last couple seconds of the video LOL

Here is are the graphs :

We will have more comparisons soon .
