Event Cold Lake Air Show 65th Corvette Anniversary Celebration - 20-Jul-2018

Here's a couple of shots that I took from the 2018 Cold Lake Air Show this past weekend before leaving on Sunday.

The first one is the CT-155 Hawk. This one is painted in the 75th anniversary markings from two years ago to commemorate the squadron being stood up in WWII and it is painted in the same colours as the Halifax and Lancaster bombers the squadron flew during WWII.

The second is a full scale fiberglass replica of the Hawker Hurricane fighter that was used during the Battle of Britain at the start of WWII.

This plane flew over my place last year inverted just after passing over McMahon stadium for the CFL Labor Day football game. Very cool livery on this one.

We are all lined up in and out of the hanger. Bit of a scramble getting all these cars in place before the gates opened but Grant and company did a great job.

It goes without saying that “The Big Kahuna” did a pretty impressive job in organizing a lot of this. So much behind the scenes stuff some/most of us weren’t aware of. A tip of the hat to you Spence,timidly,thankfully.

Found a Plane to Buy and take our Corvettes to wherever we want to Cruise
Sadly though if we all chip-in, we still won't have enough to Buy It

Well folks it was another long day of driving 760 kms, but I did it on one tank of fuel. these cars are Awesome!
Back in Ontario.

When I filled up it took 58 litres

I still have 1476 kms to go. I have put on 7143 kms so far and my average fuel economy is 7.9 L/100 km or 29.4 mpg try that in your exotic sports car.
