Can you still see if it's a Canadian car by seeing if the speedometer goes to 300 as opposed to 200? I haven't looked closely enough to know..... But I guess a phone call would clarify all that. :D
I realize there is no picture of the dash in this case.

Riley all cars can flip from metric to US so are not they all the Same when in US configuration, I Don't know ????? can you help me out?

curious phone call

If I was a serious buyer...I'd contact the seller & ask

Because my Z06 order in Alberta has an indefinite future, I responded to this ad with the intention of buying the car ... it is close enough to what I have ordered and $125,000 is close enough to MSRP. Immediately after sending the email I received a phone call from someone who identified himself as "Bob". He said it was a Canadian car but would not answer my next two questions: from which dealer? what is the VIN? He asked if I wanted to know why he is selling it. I said that was his business, but he told me anyway: he has a convertible on order and he would like to flip (his word) this car. He also told me that the price is no longer $125,000 - he has offers over $130,000 and will let the car go to the highest offer by Friday. I wished him luck but would decline to bid.

Hey ST! Not to go off topic but even though I can switch between Metric and US for my speedometer, the numbers remain the same with a maximum of 200. Canadian C5's (and C6's I believe?) have numbers that go up to 300 on the dash. (And that's why the our southern brothers love the Canadian instrument clusters, you have a car that looks like it can do 300 mph!). I wasn't sure if the C7 has fixed numbers on the dash like the C5's and C6's or if it's all digitally displayed.

does autotrader.ca issue fraud alerts for all ads?

An hour or two after responding to this ad, I received an email from autotrader.ca labeled "FRAUD ALERT", asking me if I suspected that this ad was fraudulent. Is this routine for autotrader.ca? That is, do they do it for all ads? If for some ads, what are the selection criteria? I have responded to autotrader.ca ads in the past without getting this fraud alert response.

That doesn't work with the C7 as it is a fully digital electronic display, no moving needles anymore.

Not true the speedo on the left side is not full digital and the US is fixed at 200

where the CDN one goes to 330

So it is a tell tale sign, but the dashes can be swapped out which could mask that it is truly from the US.

OMG I'm wrong today thanks for correcting me, guess if I had my C7 by now I'd know that, sorry everyone I was

One suggestion to those posting pictures, not sure but some of them are so huge that it requires scrolling from left to right. Could be just my screen,

Yeah I just linked out to some images I found on the internet to display the difference. Online they didn't look so big.

To fix it I'd have to steal them, edit them then put the online..... to much work !!

Okay I downloaded, resized, put them up on my server and edited the URLs on the images to point to the new ones.

Hope that helps!

Dude has a Z07 rag on the way...NRB with blue int & top...must know a guy.:D

Look we know how hard it is for any one in CANADA to get a Z06.

Now this private seller guy is getting TWO of them...................

That tells me right off the hop that these are American cars, so guess what people no Warranty for 1 year on GM Corvette imports......

Read Ad.

maybe read the ad

Private Seller - CND vehicle - NOT IMPORTED
GM CANADA WARRANTY
Best offer over $137k CND by Feb 28th

Well I have read his ad and guess what it's edited and changes daily?

Remember the first Ad said Canadian VIN guess what After I posted that there is no difference in the VIN's. The Ad doesn't state that any more. To me there is just to many things about this sale that keep changing and don't add up. Like how does a private seller get 2 (TWO) Z06's when 99% of people can't get one....

Does anyone here have the VIN for this vehicle? I could look it up to confirm if its a US or Canadian VIN. Full VIn or even last 8 digits would work.

The GM Global Connect VIN Lookup allows me to look this up.

Regards,
