Not a warplane but long time drag racer Connie Kalitta does have his own Air Force and teams that go fast!

When I first went to the drag races at St. Thomas, Ontario in 1963 or 64 Connie Kalitta was there with his "Bounty Hunter". top fuel dragster. NHRA drag racing is still a huge part of his business empire.

In 2008 Connie lost his son, Scott, in a funny car accident at Old Bridge Township Raceway in New Jersey. His accident is the reason the NHRA Pro Cars only run 1000' today, they simply were too fast to give the driver any hope when something went wrong. Not likely the extra 320' would have helped poor Scott. RIP.

No Problem Murray. It is funny what strange and wonderful bits of trivia resides in the cobwebs of ones memory. I think she passed way not that long ago.
