Classic warbirds and other aviation vids.

Not sure if anyone read the story on the American F35 that has been lost in the US. The pilot bailed, the jet continued on but now they cannot find the remains of it. Weird with all the electronic stuff built into modern warfare jets. :(
Can’t find it. Apparently there were two flying together. The second returned to base. Duh . Unless it was a low fuel situation you would think he would have followed the other one.

We will never know the real story.

Pulling the handles on a top secret 5th gen fighter, while on autopilot and cruising as a flight of two, doesn't happen for reasons we will ever be privy to. Media reports and official government press releases not withstanding.

"Attention Canadian Department of Defense. This is the US Air Force. We have an unmanned F35 on auto pilot heading for Canada". The pilot has ejected and fuel reserves appear to be adequate to enter Canadian airspace"
"US Air Force.. This is the Canadian Department of Defense. We have your aircraft on radar. Based on it's heading, will you be requiring a landing pattern at Pearson International? There may be some delay as Pearson advises they have no patterns available at this time. Advise your auto pilot that a go around will be necessary and further instructions from the tower to your autopilot will be forthcoming. Be aware that we have three duck hunters on the outskirts of Pearson that are prepared to shoot down your F35 if it does not comply so we would strongly advise that you order your auto pilot to follow Air Traffic Control instructions or alternately reverse course immediately and return to a US site."
