the fledgling auto industry certainly had some interesting stuff, some things making it to production, some not. briggs and stratton produced a car from 1919 - 1925. the car sold for 125 - 150 dollars. briggs deemed it more profitable to just manufacture engines and started to produce the fore runner of what we have on our power equipment today.

the corvette of it's day must have been the 1935 auburn boattail speedster. two seater, supercharged inline flathead eight, aluminum cyl. head. 4.5 litre, 150 hp @ 4000 rpm.
