the fledgling auto industry certainly had some interesting stuff, some things making it to production, some not. briggs and stratton produced a car from 1919 - 1925. the car sold for 125 - 150 dollars. briggs deemed it more profitable to just manufacture engines and started to produce the fore runner of what we have on our power equipment today. :D
 
Very cool! 36 hp out of a 288. I wonder if they ever thought in less than 100 years, Chevy would make a production 638 hp V-8!.... I wonder what the next 100 years will bring.
