I saw what looked like Carbon Flash at the 2013 auto show -- at least I believe it was. Couldn't get close to it but it seemed to have a multitude of very subtle colour shades....

Apparently the colour is available on other GM cars -- here's a link to a chart of all the GM colours with the codes to cross reference.

Black Ice (Carbon Flash) 2012 GM Corvette - Paint Cross Reference

It does look very nice and seems to take on a different hue depending on which angle it is viewed from.....or maybe that is the lighting inside the plant! My only concern would be trying to match it if you needed a partial re-paint. We paint using electrostatics and all the metal flake stands up a certain way. Not sure if that can be reproduced in an after market body shop.

I have a ZR1 centennial edition and all centennial are carbon flash metallic. Wen it sit beside my dodge grand caravan 2008, it's pretty close but more metallic flake and a much prettier clear that reflect much better in sunlight. It's not really black, more like a very dark charcoal gray. My friend have a black ZR1, under daylight you can see a good difference but when it gets dark, you can only see that one is metallic but not the other. Hope it help. Steph.

This is it!

There is a woman here that works close by and has a GS Centennial convertible. I took these pictures when it was parked in a neighbour's drive. The first few times I saw it driving around I thought it was black! But when you get up close to it, you can see a deep metallic green in the paint. Just a spectacular colour and one of the best vettes I've ever seen.
