Not that I'm surprised considering the currency exchange but still...

There won't be any warranty for at least a year and 7500 miles on the car, that was GM's restriction last time I discussed with dealers . Buyer beware.

We're a registered exporter and ship thousands of trucks, SUVs and some cars every year. If it's a GM vehicle, it needs to have 12,000 km before it can be exported.

That is because you are a dealer and or a fleet customer. 12000 km is 7500 miles and it must be 6 months old too. I shipped thousands when I had a car rental company and they introduced that requirement. A non fleet customer can do what they want they just won't get GM warranty. What some of these dealers do is put an aftermarket warranty on it so the customer is told there is A warranty.

Not in a private sale. All it has to be is a used car. If it was previously registered, even with 1 KM, its a used car and can be exported no problem.

I'll invest in your car and split the profit!

I'd just as soon not even take delivery. I've got to check with my dealer and see if he can change the name on the order. Should make it easier and then can do a courtesy delivery anywhere in Canada. I'm just looking to get my deposit out and get a HTC. For me a year delay is OK. My current TPW is Sept 21.

l do not understand why you cant get your deposit back unless everything was finalized and BG is building it.

Your order has been delayed beyond normal expectations. Tell the dealer to give your deposit back or you'll complain to AMVIC see link
.

I Put a deposit down at Shaganappi in Calgary in July 2019. Told my guy I would only take a HTC and it was on the offer to purchase. In January after seeing all the delays I decided to back out and let someone else get a 2020. I called my guy and got a full refund on my credit card within a few days. Not sure which dealer you are with Wilf but sounds like they are not someone I would want to deal with.

A dealer that won't return the deposit is an absolute moron! They could keep the car and sell it over MSRP or use it to attract buyers or sell it within a day for the full price.

I agree. My dealer here in Edmonton told me that he would refund the deposit due to the delay.
