C7 Theft Prevention

I have been concerned with the theft issue for a while now for my vette and my other vehicles as well I have found a engine immobilizer that you can buy it is installed in the fuse panel and comes with a key fob that you have to press before the engine will start and I believe they cost in the 250$ range I have also considered putting a GPS tracker on mine in case they come and load the car and that can be bought for about the same price or slightly more. I will be doing one or both of these before I spring.

If you subscribe to Onstar you get all this protection as your car has interior motion detectors, inclinometers and GPS tracking already. Insurance rates on Corvettes are low as these cars; like many other higher end cars are hard to successfully steal.
it’s the FOB cloners that I consider a threat but my car is 10,000 miles from one FOB and 200 miles from the other one. So... I’m good.
Now that I wrote this I am hopeful I’m not proven wrong as I cancelled my onstar subscriptions.

Bring lots of cash! 15%+ taxes on cars depending on cost. Socialist government! Getting crowded - lots of Asians and Persians - inflating the cost of housing. In ten years Persian and Chinese will be the official languages; but, other than that, climate pretty good: lots of rain in the fall/winter.

That’s ok at least don’t have to deal with all the thieves in Saskatchewan. You can walk anywhere in Vancouver after dark. Try to say that about downtown Regina or Saskatoon. By the way enjoy looking at wheat

They dismantled a large car theft ring in the city not too long ago and another one popped up and it's on the news again. There are many undesirables in my area, my house was burglarized and I caught 3 people who cased my place afterwards. A few times my propane tank for the BBQ were pulled to the end of the chain. A block away where I used to live, christmas lights in the tree would vanish. My landlord said hello to the burglar who was crouched inside my truck taking out my stereo. She thought it was me.

These last 2 years a few house including the one in back of mine were broken into(probably my felon neighbor). last but not least my neighbor broke down my cable fence and stole it!

I'm not obsessive, I'm pro active.

I'd move and/or get a big dog!! Alarm system etc.
