A friend had a low dollar 383 stroker with a healthy flat tappet cam in a Chevy II. He ran consistant mid 12s at the strip. You will be able to mix it up with some of the newer stuff.

impressive they pulled the l48 with the hood on the car and without an engine leveler. what had to come out of the nose to do that ? everything clears with the water pump off ?

Will there be an autopsy on the L48?
I've sold the old engine to a guy here in town. He's going to rebuild it and I'll find out from him what killed it. I have no desire or room to keep the original engine.

This looks like a great project! I'm in to see the numbers too!
Well I was back down to Breslau today to pick up the old engine and bring it home. Work on the car is progressing very well.
