See those chains attached to the front of the skis? From inside, the driver just pulls back on the chains and the heels of the skis dig in giving you front brakes...or something like that.
That'd work, if you were only trying to rein in one horse, the vette has 400 or so. Be a mighty man that could pull that.
Guessing there's an electric winch hooked to each chain. Independent steering at it's best...
