Here is maybe where Lynda started with my Hurst shifter friend Jack Duffy who sort of managed her engagements. Their shifter business started in late 1950's in Pennsylvania and Lincoln Speedway, Abbottown, PA, a high-banked 3/8-mile clay track offering weekly sprint-car races, would be not be far from this track
I recall reading, in an old popular mechanics, about cooking a chicken on the exhaust manifold while driving a long distance. Doesn't appear to work too well!
