There has been many uses for "Indicator or Marker" lights on endurance cars. Just thinking that if this team had more than one similar car the pit crew and their scoring people, by colour of the light would know one from the other.

On modern endurance cars the markers show if the car is running in the top three in class, those I think are set by race control.

Weird fender flares on that car.

Or it could be a ventri or Venturi tube.:)

Too true. It's been crazy warm here as well. +7 here on Boxing day.... +1 at 6 am this morning. Our 14 day shows down to -11 on the 7th which is still a nice day this time of year. Not complaining as the wood stove has no problem keeping up, The gas furnace has been complaining of boredom though.

Early telemetry device of some kind? Would be interesting to know what’s written on the glove box door. It appears to be more than just the factory

We just officially had, reported today, not only the warmest December on record but the warmest Year ever recorded! As the south begins to cook in the coming years everyone is going to be wanting to move up our way. We will be taking applications later in the New Year, lol .

I hear you but when we want heat there is always the Tropics. And the beer is cheaper ! Odd as it may sound I really don’t mind the cold weather, it’s just the duration. Hence the tropical pilgrimage mid winter. Be nice though if a C8 would fit in a carry-on .

Google Lens show a pic of this car, it is a 63 z06. A view from the front shows the thingy to be a red light. Blacks reply is correct. (I'll bet his wife never says that). Everyone gets the prize of learning something new.
