Now this is a long story, but Steve, in my following article from 2018, drove his 1963 Roadster everywhere but didn't have room in the trunk for two stackable lawn chairs - so he just strapped them on the back - no luggage rack.
Amazing Story
When I was at the Corvette Reunion at Back to the Bricks in Flint, Michigan I ran into

someone I had not seen for about three years, Steve Stone from Madison, Wisconsin. He has a 1963 roadster he has owned since new. He had a ’56 Chevy that he sold so he could buy the ‘Vette. His dad co-signed with his mom’s approval, he worked two jobs and the rest became history.
Now so far you say nothing unusual, except this car has 564,000 miles,
yes five hundred and sixty four thousand miles. He and his wife, Marilyn, married for 30 years, have travelled to every state in the continental US, except Alaska, as well as all of the Canadian provinces. He was part of the Bloomington Gold driving two laps around Indianapolis in 2017. He is now on his 4th engine, a 356 CID with the old engine in the garage. This has been a NCRS car. The front clip and the windshield have been replaced several times. Springs, U joints etc. also have been replaced. How many tires he does not know, nor does he care.

Steve has refused $100,000 US for his car He says “It is
NOT for sale”. I wonder how many miles will be on the car when I next run into Steve.
