No idea on your mystery car Murray but did you guys notice the hood on the Corvette? Right rear corner. Looks like there is a bit of flex in the car pulling that turn...or the hood alignment is just that awful.

That is the ill fated Dave McDonald in the 99 Cobra. McDonald was a Corvette racer until he was lured away by Shelby. Lost his life at Indy in 1964, a horrendous accident driving a car for Mickey Thompson.

You don't want to be pointed in this direction at Indy....the beginning of the end. Veteran Eddie Sachs would also perish in the mayhem that followed. Second lap, full load of gasoline on board the Thompson car the cars were all bunched up. Indy cars were never allowed to run gasoline again after this inferno.
