Wonder that there is any room for the driver with the engine that far back !! I would guess close to 20% set back, of course that's why it's a modified car. Despite the "283" car number that is not a Chevy small block looking at the stacks. Love bench racing.

Agree Peter, caption said Chrysler Hemi Powered.

Wow great looking SWC but what got my attention was the Karbelt Hauler in the background. Not sure what track this picture was taken at (maybe Niagara) but I would like to know what was in the hauler. Karbelt, a well established speed shop in the Toronto area (and I think Montreal) raced some incredible cars. Altereds to Top Fuel. So I wonder if this truck took their NHRA record holding altered Fiat "Percy Also" to the races. Maybe @1 BAD 9T9 just might have the answer!

Quick google search shows the vet is ftom PA. Driver (Steve) passed in 2009.
His record ¼ mile time still stands at his home track.

Sorry Black 03 Z06 I don't recognize the truck or the track, but Niagara would be a possibility, especially with Steve Kanuika sponsored Corvette from Pennsylvania in foreground. The hauler is not for Percy Also. Maybe one of the other guys like "Fast" Eddy Bryck or else from Montreal. The reason I know this is because Carl Rowland, driver of Percy Also, was my business partner in Drag Dimensions where we made traction bars for Mr. Gasket Company and headers along with other speed equipment stuff. For interest here are pictures when sponsored by Karbelt and when later changed 288 cu in SBC for Hemi and Dave Pratt selling ownership to my race car partner Nick Minialoff, the car was then sponsored by Drag Dimensions.

Peter you have kindly shared those pics with me in the past but I thought since they are yours it should be up to you to post them or not. I thank you for sharing them, evolution of a very successful race car.

I wonder if the Karbelt truck was selling parts etc. at the track?
