I like batteries to only have factory cables on them. Especially side post.
Grounds are hard to come by on a fiberglass car, so I am assuming the ground he is illustrating here was the closest one around. But I will be looking for another.

Same here re adding wires to the battery terminals. But, the eye rings that come with a Tender Jr can't be more than 1/32" (just looked at mine....took a pic) Space isn't an issue, install is simple.
If y'all run it similar..... Don't forget to use an inline fuse, if it's not supplied.
I just finished doing this mine, the battery was already out so it didn't take long to install. The cable that came with the battery tender had a built in-line fuse.
