Wow, that would have gone for major bucks too. What an example of a car that has been pampered and cared for for over 60 years. LOL that thing is almost as old as me.........but probably a little better preserved.

Would be interested to hear what it sold for. Wonder if there was a reserve on it. I bet they made an exception for that owner.

Geesh -- Pity we didn't have the foresight to own one back in the day and hang on to it. Those are astronomical prices.

Sounds like there were quite a few bidders there wanting an L88 ..

and there was Craig Jackson rubbing his hands to gether thinking of his 10%. On those 2 L88's alone the fee is over $600k !!!! -- b4 expenses of course but wow.....That helps pay for the nice new venue.......

Nice to see the market alive and well......

Wow, some deals going on in Scottsdale.........

I'll never forget the '53 Olds concept that sold a few years back for about 3 mil.
Some fella was there representing a museum and seemed to have unlimited funds to make that purchase.

I saw their interview of McEewen and Prudhomme prior to the event's start -- and wow how they've changed especially the Mongoose......

Not surprised that their rigs and cars went for big bucks -- Lots of history there and completely restored.

Can't wait to get into my recordings to check out the show.

I watched Jackson all weekend and of the 150 or so vettes that went through the auction block....quite a few went cheap IMO. If you go back several years in Barrett Jackson Vettes were a hot item....considering how many there were (yes some were insane)...but they either had extreme rarity or likely had as much or more in the restoration. Mustangs this year I felt were going high...but the vettes...I think some went significantly lower than I expected. I remember the days when if you saw a split window on Barrett....$160 EASY.

Recorded the whole thing (some 29 hours on my pvr) and just now watching it with my brother. Lots of real nice rides going for a decent price.

We watched about 4 hours of show in about 2 hours by skipping thru the ads.
Seems most of what we see these days on regular tv is so polluted with ads.

We enjoyed it a lot without the ads.
