Has anyone had this issue yet on their C7 A8?

When I move the shift lever down 1 notch, from park to reverse, nothing happens.
Down 1 more notch and now it goes into reverse.
Down 1 more notch and now it goes into neutral.
Down 1 more notch and now it goes into drive.

And because of this, I can't go into Manual mode with the shift lever. I have driven the car and the transmission
works fine.
I called my local dealer and they can only look at the car on Tuesday. Do you think it's safe to drive?

That's something I haven't heard of before. Since it's still shifting fine and still under warranty, the only thing you need to worry about driving it is a tow job if it does totally crap out and leave you stranded. JMO

Matt, sounds like a basic adjustment to reposition the shifter arm. As long as you can access Park, there will be no worries on possible damage from driving. You can still use the paddles for manual shifting in Drive. Your dealer should be able to adjust that quickly.
