What a great day. Thanks Mike for putting all this together for us. The roads were fun fun fun. It was a 05:00 pick up and shot to YYC to meet up with the gang, but well worth the drive.
One of the best casual cruises I have ever been on. Met some great people and enjoyed the entire day.
My Brazilian pal Fernando had a great time. He was very impressed with the conversation and pleasant hospitality you all showed him. And he really enjoyed seeing all your cars.
A great day Mike 👍👍
I always try to avoid starting a sentence with “My Brazilian”....🥺

Seriously it was a pleasure finally meeting you and I am glad Fernando had a good time.

Great video Mike, thanks for posting everyone. Wish I could have made the jouney. I finished my oil change, wash, wax and detail today. Tommorow's job to pack up the car for the month journey to the USA for the Bowling Green Corvette Caravan.
:bsmile:
Looking forward to your pics there and back for sure Z.

Used the Motorola 2ways and what an awesome idea of @ddgermann to put his spare in the hands of the “Mountain Man” Organizer. As we cruised along K-Country, there was a point where those who had a 2way paired up, we had back-country and mountain peak commentary by Mike. It wasn’t a lot of commentary however a very interesting add-on to this Corvette Cruise. Should @MikeysZ06 plan a more extensive cruise like this again, I might suggest we may offer the 2way rental from the supplier so that others can consider the commentary option. 😁👍🏻

Should @ddgermann navigator from Brazil have a favourite photo (or ten) to share on here, we are most welcoming of that which he found the best.

Congrats to @MikeysZ06 for also making this a “mother and son” event for him .... after all it can be made into much more than just piloting a Corvette on these Cruises 😁👍🏻

Ok ... there was a lot more to enjoy other than the cars on this cruise ... it’s just that those darn cars just seem to keep photo-bombing ... so here’s a couple of Upper Kananaskis Lake that I managed to find 😂

Nice to have your own personal photographer hey Spence. 😂😂

Freda does take great pictures 👍

I just want to thank everybody for coming out yesterday. It was a way better turnout than I had expected and I’m somewhat humbled how this day turned out. So again everybody ...... Thank you all !!
What a great day. Can’t say anything else to make that clear. Hopefully we can add to this next year.

And thanks Derek for lending me the Motorola for the day. That was great. I’m going to get one for next year.

I hope you had a good day Jim. I’m glad you came out. If you’re up for Columbia Classics show in Radium September 21,make a note to trip on out there. Pending cold weather as the last 2 September’s have been kinda crappy that day. I’m thinking of that for a day trip.

I would attend but will be away until Sept 2.
I will share a grizzly experience that my wife and I had on Friday August 2nd on highway 40.
Was 8:30 at night and no traffic, were the last of three motorcycles and were riding in the normal staggered positions.
A grizzly sow with three cubs following ran out in n front me, my wife as passenger and almost ran into the side of the motorcycle in front of me to the right
Was so close the sow froze and two of the cubs practically ran into her and the third stopped on her far side
The four of them pretty much blocked the road and was forced to brake hard at 90 kph. We ended up with no more than thirty feet between us.
The sow looked me right in the eyes and then looked to find her cubs all close to her.
I immediately pushed the bike backwards to increase the distance between us and while doing so I could see a parks wildlife pick up come very fast with its blue and red lights flashing. It then stopped in my blind spot and I kept waving it by.
Then after a minute it drove in front of us into the bears and as soon as one of the cubs moved then turned on the fire truck style low pitch siren. They all ran hard into the trees.
We were saved and thankful.
That parks wildlife pickup was parked on the side of the highway about 1/2 mile away.
We believe the wildlife officer was tracking the sow, she was collared.
We believe the officer was loading his tranquilizer gun when he stopped in my blind spot.

Wow. Very

That Collar on "Mom" had Parks barreling in with lights on - I counted 4 trucks within minutes.
They appear to know when she is near the road ... kinda "big brother" but for good reason
with all the stupidity out there for a photo. Freda took her photos from the safety of her Corvette.

Darn, I forgot to let you know I had to cancel! I did cruise the back roads through Bragg Creek and Stoney Nakoda on Sunday, it was beautiful then as well. We ended up taking Cirque du Soleil on Saturday, highly recommended! Sorry I couldn't make the cruise!

We passed a small K Country pickup truck with 2 guys sporting a tracking antennae just past the entrance to Mt Kidd on the return trip to the casino. I’m not sure if anyone noticed.

thanks Mike for organizing this fun trip. Cody and I also had a fun "spirited" trip home as well.
Thanks Thomas for coming out. And to your wife as well,I really appreciate her making the trip in the condition she was in. My mom really enjoyed chatting with her too.

I just saw Cody about an hour and a half ago on Bow Trail and 85 st SW while setting up a TWT (two way traffic) setup.
