Hmmmmm..... Looks similar to the two trains that collided in Calgary yesterday.... They called it "pilot error"... Not sure why they are letting pilots operate trains anyway... Yeah, train rhymes with plane but that's about the only similarity.

That is what I was just wondering. At first glance I was ... how in the... then you can see that the sides of the loco's are ripped to shreds not the fronts. Sometime tried to yield instead of merge again....

What strikes me as odd is why the narrowing of two tracks to one then going back to two. Maybe they did not want to move the $200.00 shed?

My guess is the one on the right was sitting on the right lane and the other one said..."Lots of room. I can squeeze through there"...

The narrowing of the tracks is probably the result of what I call political engineering. The mayor, or some other mucky muck, probably lived in the house across from the narrow section and didn't want the train so close to his front door. The engineers said bad design, the head honcho said nope keep the politicians happy. Thats me tuppence worth.
