Here's a picture I took in Carcross, Yukon of "The Duchess". Purchased in 1900 by the White Pass Line and used on the Atlin Short line railway until 1919.

Yes. Had been there in 96 as well.

rear axle behind body,
looped frame between wheels preventing access to trunk,
3 exhausts, 2 at rear and one side pipe
Engine resembles a triple carb V8, but header says V6
and the train is way too small.....

Let's not leave out the fact the left front tire seems to be about a foot in front of the right one.
For 12 cents, I guess they got their moneys worth.

If you mirror the image it shows the other side pipe.
