I'm a big fan of old locomotives. All types, steam, diesel-electric, all electric. Grew up on SNCF, DB, and Swiss trains. Started life with a 1965 Lionel model and switched to Marklin in Europe. Been following the UP 4014 restoration. Just saw the UP team pull out the 5511, 2-10-2 steamer. Hope they plan on restoring that one too. Down here in Cumberland Maryland, the local engineers have just finished restoring the 3109 for local excursions. It seems that trains are slowly developing a return in popularity. I'd like to see more historic engines restored moving forward.
