Back away from the nest . I think we have to realize that it's not a fair fight and the odds of us winning an all out economic battle with the US are slim to none given our dependence on trade with them and the size of their economy. Would be nice if it were otherwise but we have yet to see evidence of that.If you don't poke it and kill the hornets, you will get stung repeatedly.... So your choice is ?
You are forgetting who pays for the Tariffs. The public is getting tired of paying for them. If he doesn't stop the midterms it might be a big turn around.Back away from the nest . If it were not for what took place policy wise , or rather didn't here over the last 10 or 12 years in our " post nationalist " Country we would be in a much stronger position to weather the storm .You make a point but fortunately or unfortunately I would rather go down fighting and proud than take it up the a$$. Sorry, That's a guess. As I've said countless times a deficit means more money in the economy. More money in benefits etc. You can't play the whatif game. There is no way of telling what could have been. There might have been a bad recession for all we know. You can also blame covid for a lot.I hear you.
