74 dash

Anyone have taken apart a 74 dash. I tried for a bit today but could not get it passed the stering Colum Was trying to replace my head light switch and a few light bulbs in the dash.
Is this a fairly big job pulling the dash ? Also plan on replacing the speakers in the future

 

[Case75]

You'll have to drop the steering column down to get the driver's side panel out. Remove the two bolts that attach the column to the column support and then the panel will come out. Be careful not to tear the corner of the shift console where it meets the dash while pulling the panel out...easy to get it caught there. It's not a big job but you have to take your time. Don't get the two vacuum lines on the light switch mixed up when you put it back together or your lights won't go up.
