My Father's Day present from my son was a set of four (interior, wheels, wipes, exterior) products from Armor-All. I hope it is not muy son telling me that my car is that dirty and more just needs a bit of sprucing up!

Not that this means that I'll ever get around to using it before going to Ponoka so no comments please about the world's dirtiest engine compartment let alone the dust on the dash!

Cheers,

Garry

That is a great present Garry! With all the dust and dirt on your engine, I thought you would just opener up a bit on the highway and all the dust would blow off!

If anyone gives you grief, just say you'll race them and the loser has to clean the other's car. :D

Good morning Riley,

Last day with my son for two weeks today.............

What a great suggestion for the engine compartment! And if I lose and have to do theirs in all likelihood it is cleaner than mine anyway.

Are there things specifically planned for the 5th and we're all going to be doing?

Cheers,

Garry

Garry the Ponoka event is simply a "meet & greet" so............. lots of B.S....LOL. We will line the cars up, pop the hoods ect. (bring a lawn chair) A&W is right there for breakfast.......Oh did I mention lots of B.S.........If people want we can do a short cruise through our modest town........

Good God you want me to show people my dirty laundry er engine compartment??!!

Oh we gotta do a cruise! A nice convoy of Corvettes to make everyone's day in town!

I am starting to get excited for this and I hope it will provide me with the push I need to get my spraying done so I can go...........

Cheers,

Garry

For sure! We'll just player by ear and enjoy the day. Looking forward to the BS!:D

I didn't tell you guys I had a preporduction LT4 transplanted into my car....but the hood latch is broken so I can't open it up to show you.

OK, I ordered the sprayer part from Regina on Tuesday morning 1st thing. So it should have been on the courier and arriving Wesdneday. Wrongo. And it doesn't arrive today either!! It should be here tomorrow. So three days for deleivery by courier. I could have driven to Regina, had supper with Riley and his wife and been back here in that time with the part................

So no spraying today as I had hoped. But I fixed mom's lawnmower, needed to change a spindle and the three blades and main belt - I am actually happy this is done as maybe she'll bring my zero turn mover back here!!!!

Cheers,

Garry

Hope you guys can pull this meet off. Pictures we need pictures.

Good morning gentlemen,

I have sort of two plans at the moment for this trip:

1)trailer the car to Edmonton Friday and do some running around Friday night, then head to Ponoka with you on Saturday morning, possibly with Brian and others?

2)I'm considering buying a pair of racing karts. I think my son would like this and it would also allow the kids who come with their parents to the autocrosses to have some track time of their own. The problem - they are located just south of Calgary near De Winton. So not only would I have to trailer the car to Ponoka but I'd also have to make a 5 hour return trip on top of everything else. Then I'd also have more mechanical things to try to keep operating around here!

I don't suppose anyone is coming from Calgary that would be game to bring them for me??!!

Cheers,

Garry

I'm still going!

Although my C6 sold (yes, I am "in between" Corvettes ....) I will be showing up in my victory red Chevrolet two-seater. :D

I'm looking forward to meeting a few local and not-so-local owners also hopefully checkout a C7.

Once again, thanks for the phone call last night, Bruce.

:coolgleam:

All systems are go for departure tomorrow. Hopefully an easy trip south, spend the night in Edmonton, meet with a certain ZR1 Saturday morning and enjoy a wonderful 1 hour drive to Ponoka to partake in much fellowship!

Cheers,

Garry

Come on down Gary! We had a great time with the "Low Flying Rocket" last year. Good to see you're both coming.

Good morning Gentlemen!

Just about to go out the door.

Almost left without my car keys! Now how silly would that have been??!!

Just have to load my bags, top up the methanol (you never know if it'll be needed!) and roll up the loose ends of the cargo straps. Stop for fuel, check cargo straps and then close to 6 hours later arriving in Edmonton!

A safe trip for all those on the road to this even.............

Cheers,

Garry

Really hope you guys have a great time on your adventure.

Travel safe. Take lots of pictures.
