2022 C8 launching

Are you sure that you are launching from the proper RPM?
I read where lots of people are not stepping on the brakes hard enough, and when this happens, the RPM at launch are only 1,500 instead of the desired 3,500.
What is the RPM when you tried yours?

Yes, to all of the above. If the car won't rev above 3500 then you are doing it right.
The road must be clean. Any dirt and you will get hi 3's and low 4's
When I first tried it I did what it seems everyone does. I wasn't hard enough on the brake pedal. You have to really jam your foot on it. Like you want to push it through the floor.

Keep in mind the launch times you achieve, vary depending upon where you're located and atmospheric conditions (ie. air pressure + the ambient temperature) so even under ideal road conditions, you may get different times compared to other people. For example, at the Ron Fellows school just outside of Vegas, we were told our 0 to 60 launch times would be far less than the advertised 2.8 seconds, due to our location. That said, the OP times appear quite low and others like Murray from Ontario where you are, will know. Of interest, here's a July 2021 MotorTrend article that discusses inconsistent C8 launch times:

In my experience road conditions are the most limiting factor. I've done 3.8 and several 3.9's, but all in the same piece of road. I've tried other areas and received much worse results.
And all this in a non Z51 with the a/s tires.

Me too, the best time I got was 3.6 sec
I live in Calgary, and we are over 3500 ft above sea level. I heard that you lose about 3% of power for every 1000 feet, so that mean I’m losing about 10% of power simply because I live in Calgary

Did three launches at Ron Fellows last month at 109 F …. 2.9 to 3.1 seconds…. Need the tires warm , stand really hard on the brake and wait three seconds , then launch …. Need Z51 also !!!!!

You need Performance Traction Management (PTM), which come with Mag Ride and Z51, to achieve published performance numbers. Having said that, 60% of those on this forum will disagree 😝

Then would suggest you program PTM (Dry or Sport) into Z-mode, or select it when you engage Track mode. A freshly paved road will make the launch even better.

I don't know about 60% but ONE 2020 NON Z51
