2020 Corvette Order Guide Update: More Accessories

Yesterday, GM updated the order guide for the 2020 Corvette. They added the following accessories:

(RWU) Cargo area organizer, collapsible, Genuine Corvette Accessory.
(RYT) First Aid Kit, Genuine Corvette Accessory.
(S08) Highway Safety Kit, Genuine Corvette Accessory.
(5ZC) Jake logo wheel center caps, Genuine Corvette Accessory.

Do you know what happened to accessory 5V7? It was listed as ground effects kit for $695 USD. It consisted of the Z51 front splitter and the STI black rocker extension moulding. It was in an earlier version of the guide, but now gone from the newer guides.

Looking at the vehicle building software we use, that option is not available at this time. It might come back in the future. Instead, there is the following options:

5VM	LPO, Visible Carbon Fibre Ground Effects Genuine Corvette Accessory (Requires 5ZU, 5ZZ or Z51. Not available with STI.)

The required options 5ZU and 5ZZ are:

5ZU	LPO, High wing spoiler Genuine Corvette Accessory

5ZZ	LPO, High wing spoiler, Carbon Flash-painted Genuine Corvette Accessory

STI is still available.

Do we know when GM will be picking up convertible orders? I think I heard January but not sure if that's true or not.

I haven't heard anything yet. GM usually doesn't tell you what's happening until it happens.

Are dealerships getting a separate allotment for the convertible or is it the same pool of allocations?

I haven't recieved official word on this yet. Historically, there has been no separating between convertibles and coupes with regards to allocation and ordering. If anything, there may be a constraint for convertibles, limiting the number that can be ordered at one time.

According to US dealerships it’s the same pool of allotment and it’s up to the dealership to select coupe or convertible. The convertibles however seem to be going into production a couple of months after the coupes from what I’ve been able to find out.

Thats what my dealership told me. January or February at the earliest.
