2013 Canadian International AutoShow - A Mudders (and more) Outing

Is everybody buying their ticket ahead or at the door?

Terry and I have ours too. A few bucks off if purchased ahead, and someone said there's a CAA coupon too.
Worth a call.

Wayne -- that's why the tickys are in the glove box.

Now I just have to remember to take 'em out of the g/b.

I've got one $5 discount coupon out of the STAR if someone needs it. I'll bring it along with me Wednesday.

Cool Greg -- glad to hear it. The GO train gets to union station by about 11 -- then we'll trek over to see Manny's place to get our bearings and check back there when Manny arrives for 12.

Nice to hear Brad and your son are coming too.

Colin.

What is up with the weather this winter? -20 here yesterday morning and then it warms up to 0 by the afternoon and then overnight we got freezing rain and now all the school buses are cancelled today.

And then I hear on the radio that there is a snow squall watch out for tonight and tomorrow with up to 30 cm of snow expected!

From environment Canada:

Alerts in effect for Owen Sound, ON

Snow Squall watch

Issued at 6:06 AM EST Tuesday 19 February 2013

Summary

Much colder Arctic air being ushered into the regions in the wake of a sharp Arctic cold front will make conditions favourable for the development of snow squalls off of Lake Huron beginning this evening and Georgian Bay on Wednesday. Local snowfall amounts of 15 cm per 12 hours will be possible in the strongest snowsquall. Strong westerly winds tonight and then northwesterly winds on Wednesday will result in very low to possibly nil visibility in blowing snow. Driving conditions are expected to deteriorate quickly beginning tonight and become hazardous. Rapidly accumulating snow on untreated roads and very low to at times nil visibility in bursts of heavy snow and blowing snow are expected.

Details

A winter storm centre over Northern Lake Michigan will drag a sharp Arctic cold front east across Southern Ontario as the storm centre itself tracks across Northeastern Ontario into Quebec.

I'll let you know in the morning if we're coming. That's why I haven't bought my tickets yet. :swear:

Ugg, that forecast looks nasty Greg -- much as you'd like to see the show and we'd like to see you again please don't chance it if it looks doubtful. Not worth the risk.

C.

does'nt sound like it's worth the risk greg. you know what they say about 4 wheel drive - puts you further in the rhubarb farther from home.

Oh I agree Doug. If I can't see where I'm going, it doesn't matter what I'm driving; I don't go. Living up here in the snow belt, you learn that if you want to make it to old age. We'll see what the morning brings. :(

Talked to Brad this morning. We're gonna go for it. Snowing lightly here with some accumulation last night. Roads are closed along the Lake Huron shore but we'll be going down #10 to Brampton/Mississauga.

Be glad to see you Greg-- take it easy .......

Colin.
