In case you have already added the extra 2 quarts of DCT fluid like I did, no need to top up lost fluid as getting to the brass fill plug is a massive P.I.A
*** If you're going to add the extra .2, you should just go ahead and add the full 2 just makes sense for the added cost of one more bottle of DCT fluid
That would be much easier, the top plug under the airbox is a stupid long to get to. I still stick to my opinion that GM should add the extra 2 quarts to the Z51 cars for an extra $50. ( I'm sure it would cost them $10) . If you drive at all aggressively whether you have a Z51 or not I would add this to the DCTCorrect me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that there is fill plug on the side of the DCT as well as the top. Not sure where or how accessible it is? For people NOT needing the extra 2 litres for the track they can top the DCT fluid up using that side plug. Much like filling a standard gear box, when the fluid starts to flow out of the side plug hole, it's full to the level it left the factory with.

Thanks but I'm not planning to track the car so I didn't think that extra 2 litres necessary. But perhaps a good idea anyways, so I'll throw in the entire 1 litre (I've already bought only one litre). I've also found this "Michigan Muscle" YouTube video which suggests an easier way to reach the DCT fluid fill plug (see below). But I hope "Bucketoy" is correct and I'll not have to take everything apart otherwise just adding the fluid is worse than changing the filter itself.
I believe ABC or someone else that went to Ron Fellows School lately said they have a special funnel for this when you need to do 30 plus carsOr from the MidEngineCorvetteForum, "Neil H" came up with this idea to permanently install a feed hose to the fill plug. So for someone REALLY KEEN on having easy access to avoid taking everything apart time and again (ie. someone tracking their car LOTS) here's what Neil suggested:
My C8 is getting wrapped right now so I can't check on it, but we should be able to install a remote fill hose that is accessible in the engine bay
Bring your fill plug into your friendly neighborhood hydraulic supply store (for the thread and o-ring reference) and they should be able to get all the fittings and make up a hose -- steel braid sounds nice!
Then make a mount and mount it in the engine bay.
Sounds easy to me, but I did that stuff for a living for 25 years.
Even though the DCT has a vent just behind the cooler, it might be slow to fill using the remote fill, but definitely a lot quicker than what we have to do right now.
When I get my baby back, I will check into it & make a list of what is needed.
Sounds like a really good kit for one of our sponsor vendors to put together for us.

Guessing you are joking, right?Hey, that's nothing! It is interesting you don't "drain and fill engine cooling system " for 240,000 km either - WOW again.
Does what include the DCT filter? The free lube and oil change? If that is the question than no. It's 2 free engine oil changes. And they can happen any time within the first 2 years or 24,000KMS. SO you can get it done at 3k and then art 15k if all within the first 2/24Any update on this?
1. Does it include the DCT Filter?
2. Anyone have the details in print on the limitations of the 2 free oil changes. i.e. can they be done anytime within the 2 years/24K km? I would prefer to have the first done before the car reaches 12K Km. More likely will do the first one at 3000km or less.
I'm not sure it is answered. GM Canada in typical fashion, is way too vague.
GM has tested these cars for years now. What they recommend is the thing to do IMO.
Why? Does it know some nice roads?Follow the manual, follow the manual!
