15 VY Z51 Build on 04-04-15 waiting for shipping,BUT! What will you do?

Luczaj35 what price are you paying for your car, did you get locked in on a 2014 price as you ordered in April 2014, if so since that price there have been 4 or 5 price increases, so if you got the 2014 price pay the shipping costs and bring your car home and never deal with S.P. again........

I second that my Z51 was ordered Nov 2014 being built this week and the price if you were to order one today 4500 more.

Yeah, my dad made point with me when I was in my 20's. I had a verbal agreement with him to borrow 500k at 10% to start my business. After having the money and finalizing everything, he said he'd hanged his mind, he wanted 15% interest.

Man did this ever piss me off, but he said, never trust anyone, always get it in writing. Bastard did it to make a point and teach a lesson, but was an expensive one.

It's awfully tempting to go ahead and give in to their requests since you'd appear to save money if you have a guaranteed price, but personally I'd be concerned with what they would pull next to get that car for someone local and who would be willing to pay more.

Too easy for someone to poop on others from such a big distance and know that there's not much can be done about it.
I also wouldn't want to get tied up in litigation over it. That could take forever and be costly

I still say to cut losses and talk to Owais. If there's anything that can be done you can bet that he'll do it.

If nothing else you'll sleep better at night knowing you're dealing with someone you can trust.
To me you can't put a price on that.

The dealership needs to punch in your local GM dealers BAC Code (Dealer Code) so that the vehicle gets shipped straight from the factory to this second dealer who agrees to do a Courtesy Delivery for their local customer.

Customer has to confirm that the local dealer is willing to participate in the courtesy delivery. Usually they are happy to do it as the local dealer does win a service customer and they get paid a PDI fee from GM Canada. In these cases the vehicle has to be paid in full as soon as the order gets accepted by GM (Status 2000).

However, shipping straight to your residence and inspecting with a delivery guy at no charge is something unheard of. For that to happen there will most definitely be additional shipping charges.

@Luczaj35 are you sure that they agreed to ship the vehicle to your residence at no charge to you? Did they mean to have it shipped to a dealership close to you? If they ship it to your home straight from the factory then who does the mandatory PDI, licensing etc?

You can check Auto Trader they have some 2015's advertised, Wilson Niblett in Richmond Hill and Brian Cullen's Elite Auto in St Catharines have listings, it'll probably going to cost you more.

You can PM Owais Jamali and see if he can do something/help you as CCO suggested.

Although reading Owais's response above you might have no choice if you want the car that was built for you, it would probably be cheaper. Just get it in writing.

Good luck, hope whatever you do get's you a Stingray to enjoy in the summer.

What they told me was that I can choose a dealership delivery or at my address. Now the story change that they never offer that to me at no cost. I know what I have been told, I talk to them couple of times over last year and trust me this option was discussed. But nothing in writing. What pisses me the most my local dealer was honest with me and told me,,we don't know when we can get that car''' with the dealer in Alberta they guarantee me for sure ,,, we can get u a 2015 Z51 in September 2014''' of course not in writing. That was the only reason I have placed my order with them. Asking them how I will get that car to my house in ottawa, answer was no problem we deliver anywhere in Canada, asking them couple of times, was offered an option to get it to my local dealer or my house. I will probably end up paying for that shipping from my own pocket, and trust me they lost a value customer and I will never recommend them to my friends, not like them give a ....... about it, but I think that's not the way to run a buissness. They can't promised they will do thinks for you before they get there hands on your deposit , and after that pretend it was never mention. I have wait long for my car and can't wait anymore all I wish is to one day, see my salesperson and manager face to face to discussed some details.
Like to thank you all for yours responds, spring is almost here so enjoy your rides, thanks.

I gotta agree with an above suggestion and will add if that is ok. Get your money back and forget about Sherwood. Unless you are going to pay shipping, that car is not coming out of their hands. Look on Auto Trader and see if anything comes close. Wilson Niblett will give you MSRP but, what might be even more interesting will be the next few months as there are left over 2015's on the lots with 2016 in production...

So you're original plan didn't work...move on to a new one. You never lost anything but your time so far right? The car is worth it.

Someone mentioned above that possibily the dealer is doing this to dissuade you from buying this C7 so they can sell it for more to someone else.

Personally I don't see how that's of any monetary benefit to them. The dealer can only sell it at the lower price protected price to you and no one else. If you decided to walk away from the purchase the max they can do is keep your deposit. In your case it looks like they also offered the deposit back to you. Once they return the deposit they will have a retail unit on their hands at the current MSRP (and current invoice price) so their profit on it is the same as it would be if they sold to you. Since it will be a floor unit they may have to discount it to move it quickly and possibly have to spend some $$$ to advertise it etc.

The shipping issue is definitely your dealers fault it seems. Sounds like either your sales rep didn't know how this works or they lied to you. in either case its not acceptable.
