Did a light track event in my Z06 after installing the Powerstop pads to cure the squealing. In fairness, they *do* say that they aren't meant for track use. I figured that since it is "light" use and I had zero issues with the stock pads on both the Z06 and my base before this, then it...
I did use Steel Horse. I was quite happy with their service. I recently traded my 2013 base for a 2008 C6 Z06, and had the heads fixed at Race Ready Garage in Cambridge. Very happy with that garage for LS specific work.
I'm generally new to car maintenance, but I bought a vacuum bleeder with hopes of maintaining my boat and Corvette brakes. I had lots of trouble with the vacuum bleeder, specifically pulling air bubbles from what I presume are the threads (this was on my boat trailer). I later found out that...
I was swamped and didn't have time to reach out to MGW for this. Instead, I had some stuff coming from the USA that I'm trying the "Shippsy" service (you ship to a NY, USA address, and they bring it over to Mississauga), so I decided to pull the trigger and order direct from MGW through that...
I've done a bit of wrapping myself. Large surfaces are pretty easy, but tight bends can be hard. The mirrors are a pain. I recently tried "Superwrap", which is advertised as a "DIY Sprayable Vinyl Wrap" on my C6 mirrors and really liked the result:
It did turn out quite well. I only post here since I see it as a viable option to do rims (which was the dicussion). I will likely try to gunmetal on mine.
Yes. It was the "Superwrap" product which is advertised as a "DIY Sprayable vinyl wrap":

I realize this is off topic, but all of this wrapping discussion motivated me to attack my side mirrors (C6). I wanted to try the "SuperWrap" I linked to earlier. It was an easy ordering process, and it arrived within 2 days of the order.
Here are the before/after photos:
I've seen that. However, that appears to be a permanent paint. The Superwrap will come off if you peel it, or use a pressure washer:
All this talk has inspired me to order two cans to try on my mirrors. I can post a review afterwards.
I have a Crystal Red C6, and I don't like the body colored mirrors, so I am going to give the Superwrap a try. I tried to wrap using vinyl, but the super curvy surface makes it next to impossible.
You could always try plastidip, or this new "Superwrap" (Superwrap | Gloss Black | High Gloss Sprayable Vinyl Wrap) stuff. The results can look very good!
I wrapped the edges of my C6 roof because I had a crack developing. I used to methyl chloride as a welding agent for the lexan top to stop the spread of the crack. It worked very well. I used a carbon fiber wrap material, and it looks really good on the car. The bonus is that it is more...
