    Doug Nash 4+3 Pan Gasket

If you're anywhere near the US border, you could use a service such as Kinek, as a drop box for US shipping. If you can take the trip for less than $50, and are vaxed enough to cross the border, it could be done for the $10 service charge. I've shipped plenty of things like that, and saved a...

    New wheels, new look!

Nice wheels! I have similar on mine, but painted to match the car colour. IMHO, they make the car look better than new! Enjoy!

    87 Vette Dash cluster issues

On the wires I soldered to the boards, on the white connector next to the power supply, I put the wires together using a male and female insulated spade connector. This way, when the boards have to be separated, it's easy to just separate the wires. Look at the picture in the attached ad...

    87 Vette Dash cluster issues

I'm thinking you may have to open the display back up again. There are two boards inside that have a multi-conductor pin connector between them. The first pin is the ground for the board which houses the light bulbs. If you look at that ground pin, you'll probably see it is discoloured from...

    87 Vette Dash cluster issues

Your dash display power supply is shot. Here's the clue: Your voltage indicator function compares the 12 volts provided by the power supply inside the display, to the battery voltage from the car itself. Normally, it will see 1 or 2 volts above, and assigns a value of 12 + 1 (or 2), and...

    LED dash conversion

I replaced my halogens with LED's on my 85. I found they don't dim by using the dimmer function of the headlight switch. But when I cover over the little square hole in the upper left of the panel that senses ambient light, then they do dim to a perfect level for night use. Give that a try first.

anyone know of a good Radio repair shop in Toronto

Try Sekra Global. sekraglobal.com. The guy repairs EFI's BCM's etc, out of his townhouse off Bayview, just off the 401. Good price and he knows what he's doing. I've used him a few times on Marine EFI units.

    1985 smog pump

These are pretty easy to take apart and inspect. You may have to get a new bearing but they're pretty foolproof. Give it a try. At this point, nothing to lose!

Having Trouble with C4 after transport

I suspect a scam. Offer him to bring the car back and you'll refund his money. There's always another buyer. DO NOT give him any discount or a partial refund. I agree with Dave91TM above. As is, where is, but only a full refund upon return for a solution to this.

    Cold Morning Misfire

I'd check your gas as well. Near freezing temps can cause water problems due to condensation. I saw that you had some stabilizer in, but you might want to try some water absorber and see if that takes care of it. Might be simpler than the ignition...

    Help Replace ECM

Is there a problem with your ECM? You could send it for repairs instead of replacing it. I had these guys do this for marine MFI's that I needed repairs to on a boat I was rebuilding. Great service at a good price. And they don't overcharge because it's a Vette! sekraglobal.com

Bad Gelcoat - I need help!

Ordinarily I wouldn't comment on bodywork, but it seems that you haven't got an answer yet. What I would do if I was you is look at the marine world for answers. It looks like the base wasn't properly prepared. I would remove as much paint as possible, then rough sand the base well and fill in...

    Well Plugs

I've had them on a boat I used to own. I put a dab of 2 part epoxy glue over top of each of them and that solved that problem.

Best shocks for the smoothest ride

So here's what I know, using my own car as an example. A smooth ride depends on two things. One is the shock absorber compression and rebound rate, and the second is the aspect ratio of your tires. On my 85, the original tire size is P255/50VR-16. When I bought my car, it had P245/45 ZR27...
