Question Does anybody have experience with shrink-wrapping a car for winter storage?

I have a secure storage lot, but it is outside, and I cannot erect a shelter. Looking for ideas to protect my C6 for the winter!

    Event CANADIAN CORVETTE D”EH - JUNE 30 -

My first Vette was the yellow '73 big-block. I learned a lot from this car. It was numbers-matching, but I bought it as a total loss from SGI insurance company. Did a full restoration, only to have it catch fire and burn to ashes a couple of years later. Received a hefty payout from the same...

How many on here were previous vette owners and if you were what did or do you have?

'73 #s-matching big block, redneck '76 with 'pipes, 2012 'vert, and now a 2011 GS.

    What does this mean?

Welcome! I love the 73, my first Vette was a 73 big block. Yes, your leak is a very common spot for that, and the orange silicone proves that someone tried to fix it. You can clean the whole area with a wire brush and brake cleaner and try to goop it again, but it doesn't usually work - at...

    Question Parasitic battery draw

I agree with RRuuff. If it started the first time, it's not the tender. If your gauge was only showing 11 volts, you've got a problem - that should be up over 13 if your battery isn't fused and your alternator is working. My guess is a dry cell or two in your battery. Also check your terminals...

    Would appreciate input

You may get a better guesstimate if you post a picture of your RPO codes sticker. This will tell us all the options your Corvette was equipped with from the factory. It should be under the carpet, near the battery tray.

    Corvette shop in Ottawa

I am looking for a knowledgeable Corvette specialist shop in the Ottawa area. My car was partially crushed in a building collapse. I want the entire suspension and frame analyzed before I accept any repair proposals from my insurance company. There was also water/snow/ice ingress, so all the...

Question Who can I contact to get recent Canadian sale prices?

If that girder went all the way through, I suspect the transaxle will be torn out and the frame destroyed. We'll see. They will be getting a couple of cranes, as soon as the engineers decide how to go about it. There is about a foot of heavy, wet snow on top of everything.

Question Who can I contact to get recent Canadian sale prices?

No. Both the storage facility and my car are fully insured.

Question Who can I contact to get recent Canadian sale prices?

I believe that my 2012 convertible has been destroyed in a building collapse. Before I contact my insurance company, I would like to arm myself with recent sales prices for base model C6 convertibles.

    I may own a slammed C6 'vert!

I'm pretty sure it's a write-off. I couldn't get inside, but there is a roof girder punched into it right about where the tonneau cover is. It's hard to see in this picture, but my car is the one with the silvery cover, with an orange reflector stripe over the passenger mirror. Assuming that the...

    I may own a slammed C6 'vert!

I'm in Ottawa. I've arranged to go for a walk-around tomorrow, but I can't go into the building, yet. Maybe I can get a peek inside!

    I may own a slammed C6 'vert!

I just heard that the building my 2012 is stored in, collapsed under the snow load last week. They can't get in to assess the damage yet, but I think I'll be going shopping in the near future! The red arrows are the front and rear "peaks" of the dome (think Quonset, but covered in fabric), and...
