Another truckload just left for Ontario, including my car. The cars shown for Ingersoll get trucked on to their destination, at least in the case of the Cullen cars. So much for having to wait until late April for my Z 51. That's a 2 year + wait almost over.

This car looks wonderful in pretty well every combo. For me it was wanting something quieter this time after my yellow car. It's SGM on black. And not with that plate.

I'm with Certas (ex State Farm). My VIN was recognised in their system. No point comparing quotes since there's so many variables.

My TPW is Feb 3, so I stand a chance of an early VIN.

So Black Red and Silver are now the only base colours. If Silver had been unconstrained at the beginning I might have gone there. Too late now I suspect. Anyway I'm happy with SGM. Would have been more happy if it was a base colour though.

I'm seeing SGM paint as an extra cost at $995 which is an unpleasant surprise. Was a base colour in the first release of pricing.

I did ponder whether to Z51 or not. I consider it a bargain upgrade package and so do about 90% of the early buyers. As well as MRC is the ability to easily adjust ride height. In the back of my mind was the possibility that I might decide to swap into a convertible, and having Z51 would...

No that was just a car at my dealer I asked to wheel out so I could take a picture. This is my current GS which I may keep.

The metallic is strong in this and it can look totally different in different lighting. It looks pretty cool I think. I went back to my dealer twice looking and taking pictures of SGM. I would have liked a lighter blue-grey because this can look black in some lights. But overall I like.

I'm getting the Z51 package but would have preferred the all-seasons that come with the base car, as C8Liz posted. I would not drive my C8 enough in winter to be worth separate winter tires, but I would on the nicer days, so all-seasons would been a better all around choice for me. Not sure...

To be perfectly honest I was a little disappointed with the colour selection for C8. My current car is yellow but I wanted a stealthier colour so it was more a process of choosing the colour I disliked least. Here's SGM. Yes it is a bluish version of Watkins Glen grey.
