ZR1 mules built - more than just rumours.

What I find curious is not the desire for more power, but rather holding onto multiple variants of the same generation of Corvette.
As tough as it may be to let go of, once I get my allocation for either a Z06 or an E-Ray, I can't imagine keeping the Stingray.
If I were to have two (and had a bit more space), I'd be more along the lines of an E-Ray sitting beside a '63 split window.

That 7 litre kit sounds awesome
Now for the bad news.
US$29.950 for the upgrade on their website.
What would it cost to upgrade to a ZR1, I wonder, assuming it's not a unicorn?
Then there's the modifying the car outside of Canada, what will the RIV say about that?
I also noted LPE says all that extra HP and Torque happens with 91 grade fuel.
Add the GST/PST at the border and it gets more expensive and complex. Assuming you declare it upon your return to Canada.

You need a commuter for when they're in the shop?

I'm sure a loaded ZR1 is going to be close to the $275,000.00 to $300,000.00 range.
You'd be looking at around C$45K for the 427 LT2 upgrade, give or take all in with import taxes and/or duties. Depends on whether an extra couple hundred HP/Torque is worth it to you. It is an interesting alternative to the pricey ZR1 option if your estimates are close.
ZR1 specs would help.
Oh, the humanity...

My projection (sorry to beat you to it Denis) is that $300,000 won't touch a ZR1. IF (and that's a big if) you have been on a list for a lot of years and your dealer is lucky enough to get one, you might get in the door for $325. MSRP markups and bootleg after sales will be $400k give or take. Just a guess but will drag this post up again when they hit the road...

Hopefully it's good on gas.

Given the mindset and path of the current federal government, by 2035 gas will cost $2.15 per litre....with federal tax of $6.00 added on at the pump. Cuba just recently decided to boost their slouching economy by increasing gas prices by 500% (that's not a typo). That being said, it's comparable now with our gas price but the kicker is the average salary in Cuba is $40.00 to $60.00 per month. Gas or food....choices...choices...

I will be positive (and GM will disappoint me yet again) I think that at MSRP ZR1 3LZ HTC will be $241,351 X 10% Lux tax = $265,487 x 13% HST = $300,000 out the door.

Availability wise, I think top 3 Canadian Dealers will get 1 per year, and Canada will get 10 per year

Where's the C8 ZR1 official list??? Surely there will be some that are going on the list along with a whole bunch of others. Then when it's announced with pricing and everything the list will shrink as most people are going to drop like flies and not bother with getting the car like the other 2 lists (Z06/Eray).

Hopefully if enough people come to their senses by next election the projected prices won’t happen and the tax currently applied will be removed. Punitive doesn’t begin to describe it.

Taxes are never removed!
